Phipps Bridge Community Gardens
This is one of our flagship projects and show community gardening at its best: Our team rescued 4 allotments from disuse in 2008 and through regular commitment now produce a regular supply of fruit and veg, have helped bring the rest of the site into use and have great fun.
We are always looking for new members of the team. You don’t need experience or any special tools – just some old clothes, sturdy footwear and a willingness to get stuck in. We meet every Wednesday morning at 10am (weather dependent). We normally work until early afternoon with a coffee break at 12.30; though the amount of time you put in is totally optional. Everyone is welcome, including children accompanied by an adult if under sixteen. Please call one of the numbers below before you set off to let us know you are coming, to check the weather and get further directions. We look forward to seeing you there.
